Hello. So, for those of you who don’t know me, my name is Cristine. I am a wife, mother of four and child of God. My time as a mother has been anything but a breeze yet I can honestly now say it is such a gift!
I have learned so much more about who I am through this journey of motherhood than much anything else in life. The Lord has shown me various aspects of who He is through the eyes of my children. And I’ve never felt more youthful than when I am with my children having the privilege to enter their world where childlike faith is tangible, love is most abundant and the good in people is more evident than the bad because they are so openly optimistic.
And so the reason I feel led to share more on Honing in to Home is so we can take this venture together as women, as wives, as mothers and as Daughters to our Heavenly Father who has granted us such favor to raise His arrows in a world where I believe children need to be cherished more as such.
My hope is that we can not only pray for each other and our children but to really embrace this role as the high honor it is from above. Hence, we can take those extra moments to listen to them a while longer, hold onto them a little tighter and be available a little more in a world where everything is seemingly contrary to nestling into rest and peace and joy in the home. I believe those benefits are available for and contributed a lot to the mother’s stance in her position as comforter, nurturer and encourager of the family.
Now, I am not saying I have this mastered for I have done many things wrong in my time as Mommy but we have grace poured out anew each day! And so I see this forum as an amazing opportunity to come together as Sisters through our hope in Christ and His Spirit working in us to accomplish the Father’s purpose for us as we serve Him in this area of our lives.
